App protects employees and visitors on job sites spanning elementary schools, health centers, fire stations, compost facilities, and wastewater treatment plants
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – October 6, 2020 – Overaa Construction, a leading San Francisco Bay design-build general contractor, is using a new digital touchless app from Safe Site Check In as a critical part of the company’s efforts to keep commercial construction projects moving forward during the pandemic.
Overaa’s Covid-19 Safety Officer, along with the company’s IT Director, rely on Safe Site Check In to manage employees and visitors checking in to construction sites, and conduct private health screenings. Health records are not stored by Overaa, but the app does allow for contact tracing in the event an employee or visitor tests positive for the coronavirus.
Using Safe Site Check In, employees and site visitors point their smartphone at a poster on the construction site that contains a unique QR code. Along with the digital sign in, they answer COVID-19 related health questions and are immediately approved or denied access to the site. Overaa’s safety officer is alerted when someone is denied access so the company and employee can take immediate action.
